Hi, I'm Martina.

Certified Sex Coach & Expert in Female Sexuality

I know – from lived experience – what opens up for women when they come back to their bodies, their sexuality and their feminine power.

I work with women across the English-speaking world, online and occasionally in person in Basel, Switzerland.

Pleasure & Desire Need Space

We women have the capacity for desire, sensuality, sensation, and pleasure. But we live in a world that leaves us little room for it.

We learn early on to trust our heads more than our bodies. That performing matters more than feeling, and that we must always be productive. Pleasure becomes a luxury we're only allowed once everything else is done. So we train ourselves to deny our needs, override our boundaries, and ignore our body's signals.

And often, this works surprisingly well. It makes us efficient, seemingly resilient, even successful. The problem is, that mode doesn't just switch off at the bedroom door. Instead, it follows us in and gets in the way of what we truly want.

Over time, many women drift further and further from what they actually feel, want, and need.

But that part of them hasn't disappeared. It just needs space again.

• Sex feels like just another item on your to-do list; it drains you more than it nourishes you.

• You can't remember the last time you truly felt desire, and you worry about what that means for your relationship.

• You're physically present during sex but mentally somewhere else entirely: tomorrow's meeting, the grocery list, or wondering your cellulite might be visible.

• You fake arousal or an orgasm and have no idea how to get out of that pattern and into true sensed pleasure.

Does any of this sound familiar?

• You wish you could feel more during sex, let go, relax, and truly enjoy it.

• You compare yourself to what you read or hear about other women's sex lives online and quietly wonder if something's wrong with you

• Sometimes it feels like you genuinely don't know what you want or need in bed, or how to even begin figuring it out.

• Or maybe there's no crisis as such, just a quiet sense that there's so much more available to you, if only you knew how to access it

If you recognize yourself in any of this, let me reassure you:

you're not broken, you're not “too complicated”, and you're not alone with your experience. So many women go through something like this at some point in their lives (even I, as a "professional," know a thing or two about it from personal experience).

What you're experiencing isn't a personal failure, and it isn't set in stone either. With the right guidance by your side — someone who can offer you a safe space, the necessary knowledge, and the right tools — you can discover just how much more is possible.

What becomes possible.

Imagine sexuality wasn't just another place where you have to perform.

You stop trying to measure up to some picture of what sex, desire, or your body are "supposed" to look like (a picture that was never really yours anyway).

Now imagine sexuality as a place where you get to just be. A place that’s just for you.

You know what you want and what you need. You understand your own desire. You can let go and surrender, because you're not busy getting it right or keeping someone else happy. You're right here, in your body, completely inside the experience. Pleasure lights you up, cell by cell.

Sex stops being something that drains you and becomes something that fills you back up, a source of aliveness, connection, and energy.

Maybe your orgasms get more intense, more frequent, easier to reach. Maybe sex feels closer, freer, lighter. Maybe you feel more at home in your own skin. And then, somewhere along the way, you notice: this isn't just about the bedroom anymore.

It's in the way you can set a boundary without over-explaining yourself. The way you say what you want, plainly, without hedging. The way you take up space in a meeting without shrinking first. The creativity, the energy, the life that's suddenly back online.

Because the deeper you go into who you are as a sexual being, the more you bump into a bigger question underneath it all:

"Who am I, when I'm not trying to be someone?"

Your sexuality and your sense of self aren't separate journeys, they're the same one. What shifts in your sexuality reshapes how you move through your whole life. I've lived that. And I've watched it happen, again and again, in the women I've had the honor of walking this path with.

Sexual development is personal development. What shifts here shifts everything.

What women say.

“Working with Martina was one of the most transformative experiences of my life. I've come back to feeling. I can allow myself pleasure again. Physical symptoms I'd had for years are simply gone. Thank you, thank you, thank you – for who you are and for the work you do.”

— Bea

“If you feel like even after therapy, a little piece is still missing, that there is something still not quite right or if you feel not in touch with your body – talk to Martina. It is an intense work on yourself, emotionally, physically and spiritually but oh my god, is it worth it.”

— Marie-Noëlle

In our very first session, something shifted. I understood that my body hadn't been failing me – it had been protecting me. From there, I started to actually feel at home in it. To love it, even.

My story.

Becoming a sex coach seems a rather odd career choice to most people. How this path unfolded for me?

It started when I was four years old.

My mother was pregnant with my little brother, and I had questions – a lot of them. How did he get in my mother's belly? What was he doing in there? How was he going to come out? And what on earth had the stork to do with the whole situation? She eventually bought me two children's books on the subject, which she ended up reading to me over and over for months. I still have both of them. That is how I learned where babies come from. Two people making a new person just by uniting their bodies. I was fascinated.

By nine or ten, I'd discovered the women's magazines stacked in the corner of my parents' café. I read every article that had anything to do with sex (because I felt I knew what that was about) – and I was increasingly confused. Nobody was talking about babies anymore. Instead, there was this word that kept coming up: „orgasm". I didn't know exactly what it meant, but I understood from context that it was something worth wanting and seemingly hard to get. So I walked up to my mother – who was in the middle of serving a customer – and asked, at full volume: „Mama, what's an orgasm?"

Silence fell across the café.

She answered me later. I understood: people have sex not just to make babies, but because it feels good. And that was it – there was no stopping me. I wanted to know everything about this sex thing people do.

From that point on, I read everything I could get my hands on. Attended courses, workshops and trainings. I came to understand that sexual energy is life force energy – that being connected to my sexuality meant being connected to myself, my essence, not just in the bedroom but in every area of my life. I set out on my own deeply personal journey to discover who I truly am as a sexual being, free from the expectations and projections of others. And it turned out to be the deepest transformation of my life.

Alongside this personal exploration, I became increasingly fascinated by the bigger question: how did we get here as a society? Where do our current ideas about sexuality, women's bodies and femininity actually come from? Studying Gender Studies gave me the theoretical framework to understand how gender roles and sexual norms are socially constructed and how centuries of patriarchal structures, religion and capitalism have shaped the way women relate to their own bodies and desires. This knowledge is woven into everything I do. Because understanding where these often subconscious patterns originate from is often the very first step to letting them go.

Then came the corporate world. I studied law and spent over a decade working as a lawyer in international companies. I know that world from the inside: the pressure, the relentless performance expectations, the constant output. A system built without any room for femininity, intuition or your own rhythm. I felt it myself – how gradually and almost imperceptibly you lose connection with your body, your aliveness, your desire – in order to function and perform at your job. I was lucky to have the tools and practices I had learned on my personal journey to keep me grounded. But I also saw, up close, how quickly that disconnection can happen and what it quietly costs you.

Because in those corporate corridors, I kept meeting women who were living it without the tools to do anything about it. Behind closed doors, over lunch, in hushed tones: chronic infections, no libido for years, pain during sex, never having had an orgasm, feeling somehow broken. Women who had never said any of this out loud to anyone. Who assumed they were the only ones.

Those conversations never left me. Eventually it became impossible to ignore: this is where my real work is. This is what I want to give my time and energy to: helping women come back to themselves, their bodies, their pleasure and their sexuality.

I'm endlessly grateful to my mother for never once judging or shaming me for my fascination with sex and sexuality. She gave me the freedom to learn, explore, discover and grow. Not every woman gets that. And that's a big part of why I do this work.

My training.

I bring a lifetime of personal exploration to this work, backed by extensive formal training:

  • Certified Sex Coach™ (SCU), including in-depth training in clinical sexology

  • Sexological Bodywork (this means guided self-exploration – I never touch my clients)

  • Member of the World Association of Sex Coaches (WASC)

  • Training in Taoist sexual wisdom, Tantra, breathwork, Yoga and meditation

  • Master of Law, University of Zurich

  • Gender Studies, University of Basel

That combination – legal precision, academic grounding, body-based practice, and a lifetime of lived experience – is what shapes the way I work with you.

How I work.

My approach is holistic and body-based, because I believe, deeply, that real change doesn't only happen in the mind. It happens in the body. In feeling. In direct experience.

I work on all three levels at once: physical, mental and emotional. In practice, that means body-based exercises and guided self-exploration, education about the female body and female sexuality, working through unconscious beliefs and the social conditioning we've all absorbed, and releasing the emotional blocks that keep you from truly feeling pleasure and desire. Body, mind and soul aren't separate. Real transformation starts in the body and ripples outward into every corner of your life.

Every woman is different, and so is every session. There's no fixed structure, no set curriculum, no milestones to achieve. We work with what's present – what you need right now, what's coming up in the moment, what will actually move you forward.

What I offer, above all, is a safe space where you can talk about sex the way you'd talk about anything else: openly, without apology, without shame. For most women, that alone is an entirely new and healing experience.

FEMME VITALE – my 1:1 coaching programme.

Your vitality. Your pleasure. Your freedom.

• you're expecting me to fix things for you. I'm here to guide you, but this is your journey. You are in charge.

• you're currently in acute mental health crisis. In that case, I'd encourage you to work with a therapist first.

All sessions take place online via Zoom. If you'd prefer to meet in person, I also offer individual intensive sessions and coaching weekends in Basel – something a number of my clients have travelled especially for. We can always discuss what works best for you.

What I believe.

Good sex is a skill, not a gift.

And a skill is something that can be learnt. It's not about talent, luck or finding the right partner. It's about knowledge, practice and having a safe space to explore.

How you are in bed reflects how you are in life.

What shifts in your sexuality shifts everywhere: your confidence, your energy, your creativity, your ability to hold your own boundaries.

What you're experiencing isn't a personal failure.

How women see their bodies, what they've learned about desire, whose pleasure matters during sex, how much space they're allowed to take up, and what a "good" woman is supposed to be sexually – none of this arises or exists in a vacuum. Our sexuality is also shaped by social images and expectations. Making them visible can change how you see yourself.

Insight alone isn't enough. The body has to be part of it.

Understanding something can be incredibly valuable. But no matter how much you know about desire, sexuality, and your body – at some point you have to experience it, too. That's why my work doesn't stop at the mind. We work with perception, breath, movement, touch, presence, and concrete experience. Your mind can explain a great deal to you. But it can't do the experiencing for your body.

Your sexuality belongs to you.

Not to your partner. Not to societal expectations. Not to the idea of how often you should feel desire, how you should look, or what you should be like in bed. You're allowed to find out what your sexuality actually looks and feels like – regardless of how it's supposedly meant to be.
